Message I searched for a few hours over the course of a few nights, and I didn't see any real debates, so here goes. I'm going to be doing my first clutch/flywheel/DP install within the next few weeks, and I'm on the fence about wrapping my DP's. I searched quite a bit, and it *appears* like it's a 50/50 split for those that choose to wrap and those who don't. The main benefit appears to be reduced under-hood temperatures, which I can see being a big plus. There seems to be a lot of debate on whether it actually encourages better exhaust flow... some say yay, some say nay. The negative side of wrap appears to be the trapping of moisture, leading to rust/corrosion (*shrugs*).

I have an aluminized set of Greg's older-style splits, and am unsure if I should wrap them. I never drive the car in rain. The only time they'd see moisture is A) when I wash the car, and B) that which is present when the exhaust warms up/cools down (if any), so they won't fall apart any time soon. So, from a strictly performance aspect, should I be wrapping my DP's? If so, will I want to pick up the silicon spray, or will that just burn off (I'm sure our cars run hotter than the majority). Any help is great. Flame away, I know nothing about this subject.
